With participation from the Elm Street Project, the field outside of the CLC
was renovated during July and August of 2007. First, stones and old
building foundations were removed, then over 100 tons of fill and top soil
was brought in and leveled, and then grass was planted.
Though the long term future of the field is still in the planning stages, at
least for now it looks 100% better, and it will be used for outdoor games,
community gatherings, and worship services.
Below are several pictures of the field under renovation. These were
taken during the rock and foundation removal day project. To the right
is what the filed looks like with newly planted grass.
