The following is a brief summary of the symbolism found in this most wonderful mural done by Jill Alane Moore.  The mural is readily seen when entering the CLC.

The triangles and diamonds (which make a triangle when cut in half) symbolize The Trinity:  Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  The cross represents God, who is at the center of everything, and His love for each of us.

The rays stretching and curving show how His light and love reach out and envelope all his creation.  The doves and olive branches represent peace.

The four circles represent the spiritual, physical, social, and mental activities that the CLC strives to provide for the children to grow.  This concept comes from Luke 2: 52 which reads "And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and men."  (NIV).

The different races are represented in order to show that God's love shines on all of us, and that we are all brothers and sisters.

The rainbow rays symbolize spirituality because God's light is white and pure.  White light when passing through a prism fans out into the colors of the rainbow.  Therefore, when Gods' light passes through us it fans out to reach others.
