Saturday & Sunday

          The CLC is either closed or reserved on Saturdays.  On Sundays it is used for the Sunday School and Power Hour programs in the morning.  In the afternoon and evening it is either closed or reserved.

"Open To The General Public"

          Usage during the "Open To The General Public" hours in the gym part of the building primarily consists of:

• general basketball playing
• dodgeball and kickball
• a mostly winter adult basketball league
• a mostly winter adult volleyball league
• and various periodic organized games

          Additional activities happening in the smaller rooms of the CLC include: 

• regular craft nights (5-10 students at a time)
• four computers set up for game playing
• a periodic wood carving class (1-3 students at a time)
• a periodic archery class (between 5-10 students with only 3 “shooting” at a time

Church Events

          The church uses the CLC for many of its activities as well.

• Sunday School
• Youth group activities as needed
• Vacation Bible School (2004 and 2005)
• Seder Dinner
• Christmas Play
• Easter Breakfast
• Various celebration parties
• Various fundraising events for those in need
• Worship services (summer 2005)

Community Events

          The CLC is also used extensively for community events and other organization’s events.  These include, but not limited to:

• First Night Young Adult Band Concert  (Annual)          
• Annual BRMC Hospital Fund Raiser  (Springtime)
• Annual Visiting Nurses Fall Festival  (Annual)
• Periodic youth oriented band nights  (about 1 every 2 months)
• Gym classes for a local Christian school  (weekly during the school year)
• Soccer practices by local soccer leagues  (almost nightly during the winter months)
• The Mennonite youth group  (about once every three months)
• A location for the Town Wide Garage Sale  (3 of the last 4 years)
• Girl Scouting events  (a few each year)
• Periodic public town meetings (Elm Street Revitalization)
• India Children’s Choir  (April 2005)
• Game Dinner (February 2006)
• Armed Forces Luncheon (May 2006)
• Women’s Celebration Day (May 2006)
