Mission Statement

            This Board is entrusted with upholding the mission, vision and the purpose of Grace Lutheran Church, which are:

Mission:            To make disciples of all nations.

Vision:              To be a church that cares and equips people to care.

Purpose:           To transform lives through Christ.

Membership

This Board shall consist of a Chairperson, and at least two other members of the congregation, appointed by the CLC Coordinator, and approved by Council.  The chairperson shall be elected by the members of the CLC Board, and this chairperson shall also be a member of Church Council.

            Meetings

            Meetings will be held quarterly, more often if necessary.

            Duties 

            The responsibilities of the Community Life Center are extensive and include, but are not limited to:

            1.  This Board is entrusted to oversee all operations of the Community Life Center, except those specifically delegated to other individuals.  The Board is responsible for the following four major areas:

a.  To create a Christ-centered environment where the love of Christ is clearly evident to all.  This ranges from conduct of the people to the decorations on the walls.

b.  To develop a trained caring team of volunteers to help in all aspects of the center, with an emphasis on working with children.

c.  To partner with others to develop a variety of programs including sports activities, educational training, and spiritual awareness.

                   d.  To act as a liaison between the center, church and community at large.
