Like the Samaritan man in Luke chapter 10, we are all
called upon to care for those in distress.
Jesus is very clear on how we are to treat those in need. So, like the Samaritan, our Good
Samaritan team cares for those in our church family. When someone comes home from the
hospital often times cooking meals is at best inconvenient and at worst, very
difficult. The Good Samaritan team
will coordinate dinners for a short time.
Members of the team cook dinners and deliver them to the house. Not only is the dinner a great help, but
the kind words that go with it help to lift the spirit as well. There are no meetings to attend. The only requirement is to be willing to
make and deliver a dinner once in a while.
