On the Thursday before Easter, Maundy Thursday, we gather to celebrate
the Passover meal. There are many variations of this meal and we
have chosen one that involves symbolic foods as well as a full meal for
the body and, best of all, a full meal for the soul (Holy Communion).
This service helps us understand the origins of the Lord's Supper as
well as helping us connect with the Jewish origins of our faith.
SEDER DINNER –
March 20
The
Seder Dinner will be Thursday, March 20 at 6:00 pm. Help will be
needed to set up and tear down the hall as well as help in the
kitchen. If you are available on weekdays, please sign up in the
welcome center if you can help with set-up. Help is limited during
the day and the hall must be set up Thursday morning. After the
symbolic Seder Dinner we will enjoy chicken breasts, mashed
potatoes, vegetable, rolls and dessert. Cost is $4 per person or
maximum of $12 per family.
If you are interested in helping with the preparation or serving of this meal,
please contact Jim Baldwin at 362-1695.
