Children’s Christmas Pageant

‘All I Want for Christmas …Is Jesus’

Presented Sunday, December 16

On Sunday, December 16, the children and youth of Grace Lutheran Church took the stage in Ellen Bunnell’s “All I Want for Christmas …Is Jesus” drama.

The pageant was under the direction of Michele Evers. The story of Holly Berry, a Christmas Shop keeper in a small town who has her life dramatically changed when she finally realizes the true meaning of Christmas was the cornerstone of this contemporary look at the impact the birth of Jesus has on people.

This 10 scene drama complete with musical numbers, readings, and scene performances took place during the 11 am service.

At the conclusion of the program, the narrator, played by Duane Pletcher, asked the audience, “Have you proclaimed, ‘All I want for Christmas is Jesus?’ ”

Grace’s young people and Director Evers and her assistants put in long hours planning and rehearsing for this outstanding presentation. They were rewarded by a large, appreciative audience.

The adult choir also joined the cast for a closing number.

Following the performance, participants and members of the congregation gathered in the Social Hall for celebration cake and fellowship.
